Material science particles: Carbon nanotubes

The study and characterization of carbon nanotubes is very important for understanding nano-mechanical, thermal and electronic properties in these materials. An example of a 1nm diameter catalyst grown single wall nanotube is shown on Figures 1 and 2. Images sizes are 2.8x2.8micron and 71x710 nanometers respectively.
