Amorphous and crystalline phase can be distinguished on pre-characterized pharmaceutical drug powder. The flat facets are indicative for this particular material of crystalline phase present, while circle-like shape indicate amorphous phase. Figure 1 and 2 shows 1.6x1.6 micron and 6x6 micron scan size of crystalline powder.
